Indie/alternative unisex magazine with a simple format aimed at 15-25 year olds. Inspiration from NME and Clash. Original imagery with sharp colours and intriguing articles.
Love how its a unisex magazine and that your going to use your own images and designs. The conventions of your layout and article will work well for the target audience. The target audience is also accurate because it appeals to both male and female and the younger generation when they are most interested in music.
JOE ! I like your idea a lot, come up with a name (by yourself) and expand on your indie/rock unisex theme. I like the ideas you've shown in your pitch and think it would be successful in comparison to NME and other similar style of magazines. The audience age range is accurate for the genre of music.
(Katie & Guy) With it being a unisex magazine, it allows you to have a wider audience as this genre of music defineltely appeals to both males and females. I like the genre of your magazine, indie/rock, and think that your inspiration from NME and Kerrang have shown up well. I like the idea of original imagery with the making your own t-shirt (maybe this could be something that runs throughour all of your magazines with your models wearing the same tee (:. You do need a name though (:
I really like the idea about the magazine being unisex as it allows your audience to be wider. Your target audience is realistic as the genre is more popular with this age group.
I like the idea of you appealing your magazine to both genders because it widens your audience. Your inspiration from NME will really work in terms of format and conventions and overall I think that it will be a successful idea.
This is the first magazine pitch I have seen that has decided to create a unisex magazine and I think this could work in your favour as it creates a wider target audience. You just need to think of a way to make your magazine different from NME and Kerrang!
Joe. I like the concept of appealing to a wider audience by aiming the magazine at both sexes. However, I feel that your use of 'sharp colours' could contradict your idea of a 'simple format'. I think your 'original imagery' could be interesting, and if you pull it off will make your magazine stand out from the crowd! Keep up the good work, fellow Blogger!
liking the ideas joe! like everyone else, i think the unisex target audience could prove to be key. stay true to your simple layout ideas and you should accomplish this :) atoneMUNT. x
