Draft Article
Laura Sage, is the up and coming female music artist of this decade. We sneaked her into our studio for a quick five minute interview in her busy schedule and to talk about her latest album ‘The Red Knee Monster’.
Laura, it’s a pleasure to have you here…
Thanks, everything is a bit manic at the minute with tours, new albums and interviews – It’s hard to get used to!
You released your first album under a record label last week, how do you feel about that?
Over the moon! I can’t believe how quick it has all happened; I didn’t know how people would react when it was released, but selling 90,000 copies in my first week I’m guessing they liked it!
You have tracks on the album featuring Florence & The Machine, Magnetic Man and MIA, how did you manage to round up such successful artists?
I told my agent who I wanted to work with and on the same night he rang back telling me he’d arranged for me to work with them. My agent knew that no was not an option.
Where can we expect to find you performing this year?
Reading, V Festival and The Isle Of Wight Festival. I will also be doing a tour, but that doesn’t start until the 4th of September.
Have you made many celebrity friends?
The people who I have worked with I have become quite close with but I also met Noel Fielding and he is absolutely hilarious.
Who’s your favourite music artist?
Katy B. Without a doubt. She dominates the stage and is so unique. I love her.
Mariokart on the Wii. I may not be the best selling musical artist in the world, but I am the fastest on Mariokart.
(Laughs) Thanks Laura, it’s been a pleasure meeting you, and I wish you the best of luck for your tour.
Yea, thanks for having me.

Magazine Mock Ideas
This is the mock idea for the magazine that I am actually going to produce. I said in my magazine pitch that I wanted to create a simple but catchy idea and i hope that i hae achieved this without being too plain. The main idea that I want to stick with is the tri colour scheme, so by making the model's skin more pale than usual and then bringing out the purple that will be on the model's top will help to achieve this. I am proud of this piece of work and I think that as long as i do not make this magazine too simple it will have the effect on the audience that I would like. I think that simplicity is hard to get away with when trying to appeal to an audience, however, if I justify my conventions and explain them well, I think that I could pull off this magazine.

Edited Images Of Test Shots
Here i have picked out a few of the test shots and edited them on photoshop to see which effects i could use and which may look best in my magazine. I think that this research will help to give me more ideas and will help produce more creative editing that i could perhaps use when i make my final product.
